Mentoring

A Learning Partnership

Mentoring is a learning partnership that is not a simple teacher – student relationship. Learning goes both ways as you guide me as much as I guide you.

Together we form a relationship and go on a journey of collective discovery.

As you are embarking on your career as a kinesiologist, our mentoring partnership transforms you from student to confident practitioner. Together we will discover who you are as a practitioner and really hone in on your identity as a practitioner.

It is a collaborative process that I encourage and teach you to continue beyond our sessions together. You’ll take with you the confidence to explore and expand beyond what has been taught in the classroom.

My mentoring approach

As a highly skilled practitioner with 10+ years of experience, a member of the Senior International Faculty for ICPKP, and a registered Clinic Supervisor and Clinic Mentor for the AKA, I have passionately devoted a great deal of my career to guiding and inspiring new practitioners. My energetic, authentic and honest approach assists you to cement the techniques and skills you have learned in the classroom and go beyond the technical implications to tune into your own unique style. With my guidance, this style will flourish and you will discover what makes you different to everyone else. Additionally, I can help you to get organised! Organising your protocols, books, notes in a way that works for you will make you feel more professional and in control. We will find your strengths, work on your weaknesses and find answers to any questions or concerns you have as a practitioner. After all, I’ve been there too! The self doubt and uncertainty can creep in and it can inhibit you moving forward and fully expanding as a practitioner.

“A mentor is someone who allows you to see the hope inside yourself. Someone who allows you to see the higher part of yourself when sometimes it becomes hidden to your own view.”
